Our work at the Sequoia Foundation offers programs to expand the knowledge, vision and capacity and confidence of people of all ages, helping to offer them a future filled with opportunities. The best way to do this, we have decided from the outset, is to offer programs from reading to music, from language to dance. To do this, we offer a broad range of experiences to audiences that seldom have access to the many forms of arts and education We have linked our efforts to many internationally acclaimed organizations and their programs, while at the same time reach many local organizations, by providing funds to aid in their growth and development.

  • Casa Thomas Jefferson
    A Casa Thomas Jefferson foi fundada em 1963, primeiramente como uma biblioteca, e, em seguida, expandiu-se para um Instituto ELT, que agora tem seis filiais na cidade de Brasília. Nossa missão é inserir nossos alunos em um mundo globalizado por meio de seus conhecimentos de inglês, que é  considerada hoje uma língua franca. A CTJ desenvolveu expertise renomado no ensino a alunos de diferentes idades e níveis de proficiência, tanto em aulas presenciais como em aulas on-line. Outra característica muito forte da CTJ é seu investimento no desenvolvimento profissional do corpo docente. A Casa Thomas Jefferson tem Centros de Recursos(bibliotecas) em todas as suas filiais, um rico programa cultural durante todo o ano e um Escritório de Consultas Educacionais. Além de oferecer um número significativo de bolsas de estudo a estudantes carentes, a instituição também está envolvida em muitas iniciativas do Departamento de Estado Americano, como, por exemplo, o Programa de Desenvolvimento de Professores de Escolas Públicas e o programa English Access.

  • Rio das Flores City Hall

    According to the model used in Piraí, in February, 2006, we began the implementation of ELL in the city of Rio das Flores (RJ), where our project has evolved along with our students.

    We started out working with students from pre-school to the first grade, and currently work with students from kindergarden to the fourth grade.
